She can act and she can sing. During a red carpet interview at the 2017 AMAs, Nicole Kidman revealed she’s singing on her husband Keith Urban‘s new song, “Female” — yes, you read that right!
The 50-year-old actress provided backup vocals on Keith’s latest single which he recently debuted at the CMAs on Nov. 8.
“He asked me. We have a studio in the house. What was I doing? I was upstairs and he came up and said would you just come down and just — I just sang,” Nicole told E! Live from the Red Carpet host Jason Kennedy on Sunday evening.
Keith, 50, added, “It was the right [song to feature her in].” So cool, right?! This isn’t the first time Nicole has gushed about her husband’s “beautiful” new song. “It makes me cry,” she said during a recent interview with Extra.
Nicole’s special feature on “Female” isn’t her first time dabbling in music. Back in 2001, the mum-of-four famously sang in her breakout movie role Moulin Rouge!.
While walking the red carpet with Keith at the AMAs, Nicole additionally opened up about the family’s upcoming holiday plans with their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 9, and Faith Margaret, 6.
“We’re together most of the time as a family especially [during the holidays]. We kind of thread it all together. It’s not like blocks of time. It’s all threaded together.”
Woman’s Day exclusively revealed that Keith and Nicole — who tied the knot in 2006 — are preparing to renew their wedding vows.
“Nicole wanted to do something special for Keith for his 50th [birthday] and she knew popping the question and proposing a second wedding would make him smile. She told friends afterward it’s something she’d been planning for months,” an insider confessed. How sweet!
