Having made the trip to promote her new movie Grace of Monaco, which has received largely unfavourable reviews to date, Nicole Kidman was honoured with an achievement award for outstanding contribution to film presented by Hugh Grant and director John Woo.
But it was her dazzling choice of attire and shapely figure which appeared to generate most media buzz ahead of her 47th birthday this week.
At a press conference, Kidman donned a tight back-ribbed long-sleeved and high-necked dress with mesh panels and a flared knee-length skirt, before turning heads with a dazzling glamour gown as she mixed with excited fans on the festival’s red carpet.

Sharp contrast was quickly drawn between the elegant, covered-up look and the cleavage-accentuating dress worn to an event in Melbourne last week.
