Nicole Kidman says her children have given her a reason to live

Gone are the days of living life in the fast lane for Nicole Kidman.

Chatting with photographer Steve Klein for Interview magazine, the stunning 47-year-old who features in the September issue, revealed that those days are well and truly behind her.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has two children with hubby Keith Urban, Sunday Rose, 5, and Faith, 3, and two with former flame Tom Cruise, Isabella, 21, and Connor, 17, says she no longer feels the need to take risks now that she has kids to consider.

“I feel the desire to stay alive now,” she said.

“I just feel like I’m in the world right now.

“There have been times when I haven’t felt in the world, when I haven’t cared whether I was going to be here or not, so my relationship with being on the earth was probably not as intense. And right now, there’s an intensity – I want to be here.”

But don’t worry, Nicole has no plans on completely slowing down just yet.

The Grace of Monaco star admitted she may take up care-free lifestyle again when she’s in her seventies.

And when it comes to her career, Nicole revealed earlier this year that her best is yet to come.

“I’m offered unusual roles and I’m usually offered things with interesting directors. At this stage in my career I don’t want to get safe,” she said.
