She may be turning 47 this week, but Nicole Kidman isn’t going to let a silly number stand in the way of her and her career.
In fact, the Grace of Monaco actress believes her best acting is yet to come.
The Hollywood star has opened up about her plans to age ‘gracefully’ and says she is looking forward to the opportunity of experimenting with new roles as she gets older.
“You can give the greatest performances of your life in your 70s or 80s. If you manage to get to that age,” Nicole told Glamour Magazine.
“They say, ‘Oh a woman in her 40s won’t work but that’s not true.
“There may be fewer roles but there’s certainly great material because human beings grow old. As long as there are people willing to make movies about that subject matter, there will be roles.”

The Oscar winning actress turned producer also admits she’s not ready to take the easy road just yet.
“I’m offered unusual roles and I’m usually offered things with interesting directors. At this stage in my career I don’t want to get safe,” she said.
And when she’s not busy filming her latest blockbuster, Nicole likes to spend quality time with her hubby, Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday, 5 and Faith, 3, on their 36 acre farm just outside of Nashville.
“I’m not suited to the glamorous life. I tried it and it doesn’t quite sit with me,” she revealed.
