You’d be forgiven for having to do a double take after seeing Aussie actress Nicole Kidman, 51, walk the red carpet with her mini-me niece Lucia Hawley, 19, at the star-studded premiere for Nic’s latest film in Sydney on Monday night.
The dazzling duo stunned as they walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet for the Australian premiere of the Destroyer at the St George Open Air Cinema on the spectacular harbour-side-setting.
Nic’s husband Keith Urban is currently on the Aussie leg of his Graffiti U world tour so was unable to make the bash.
Cutting a stylish figure in a loose-fitting white power suit by Ermanno Scervino, which she teamed with sequinned silver heels, Nicole glowed with natural make-up and a slicked-back pony tail.
While Lucia, who bears a striking resemblance to both Nicole and her mother Antonia Kidman, looked elegant in a black lace midi-dress and stilettos.
Despite missing out on an Oscar nomination for her powerful portrayal as alcoholic detective Erin Bell in the crime flick, Nicole said she was thrilled to be bringing the movie Down Under.
“It doesn’t get better than this,” she told the Daily Telegraph at the event.
“It was a tough film to make. It is really so different for me. We were doing it on a very tight budget,” she added.
Nicole and Lucia have walked several red carpets together of late, most recently turning heads at the ARIA Awards in November and the AACTA Awards the following month.
Clearly stoked to have her niece by her side yet again, Nicole told AAP last night: “I’ve got my niece here right now. She’s so cute! She loves coming to these because she gets to see a whole different side to film making.”
There’s no doubt the Kidman family are a tight bunch, especially following the tragic loss of Lucia’s father Angus Hawley in 2015.
In a rare interview, Lucia told the Daily Telegraph about the difficult time, saying: “The loss was excruciating. At 16 years old, processing this was tough.”

Lucia’s grandfather, psychologist Antony Kidman, also passed away not long before Angus, and the experience had left her “traumatised”.
“He was always searching for a way to make people’s lives easier, especially those who are struggling,” she added of her grandfather.
Meanwhile, since jetting back into Australia with husband Keith Urban and their two daughters Sunday Rose, ten, and Faith Margaret, eight, Nicole hasn’t wasted a single minute of making the most being back home.
Last week, Nic and Keith put on an amorous display as they sat front row at the Australian Open.
