Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, the 54-year-old actress took a stroll down memory lane to recall the moment Keith won her over.

It was the morning of June 20, 2005 – the day of her 38th birthday – and Keith turned up at the crack of dawn to sweep her off her feet.

“He sat on the stoop of my New York apartment, I came out – it was 5am in the morning and it was my birthday – and he had flowers,” Nicole recalled.

“And that was it. I was a goner. I’m like, ‘Yes I’ll marry you’.”

It’s unclear if Keith proposed that morning or if Nicole simply decided he was ‘The One’, but either way the story has us swooning.

Despite their whirlwind romance – the couple met in early 2005 and wed in mid 2006 – Keith and Nicole have gone from strength to strength as a married pair.

The actress even confessed to Jimmy Fallon that she hopes to one day celebrate 50 years of marriage with Keith!

More recently, Nicole shared her husband’s reaction to her latest acting role in the miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers.

She played Russian wellness guru Masha in the drama and adopted an accent for the role, the 54-year-old revealing that Keith was a huge fan of the voice.

“Keith was really into Masha so that was good!” she laughed during an appearance on The Project.

When host Carrie Bickmore asked what Keith liked so much about the character, Nicole played coy.

Of course, couples don’t reach 15 years of marriage without a few struggles and Nicole and Keith’s bond was tested early on.

Just a few months after saying “I do”, Nicole staged a life-saving intervention for her husband, who had been struggling with alcohol and drug abuse.
