While Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are world-renowned superstars, itโs their role as parents that is most important to them.
And in an interview with The Guardian, โourโ Nic has revealed the one rule in her household that the Kidman/Urbanโs stick by.

โWe have periods at home where we donโt turn on the TV and try to have a detox from it all,โ she told the publication.
โI can recommend that to anyone. Like everyone, I worry about all the anger that seems to be around. What do you do? In our case, we have some land and some animals. I left home yesterday and my children were up in the tree house, with eight friends over.
โWe have a no-devices house. Their friends canโt bring devices over. The general rule is: play, hard core and outside.โ

Nicole and Keith, who have been married for 12 years this year, share two beautiful daughters, 10-year-old Sunday Rose and seven-year-old Faith Margaret.
And one of the reasons that the pair live in their beautiful Tennessee home, is the โpace of life and the landscapeโ.
Although they are two of the most recognised people on the planet, Nicole reveals that people tend to respect their privacy while at home, so they are able to live relatively normal lives.

For Nicole, family life is something she always held close to her chest.
Especially her complex relationship with her adopted children from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, Isabella, 25, and Connor, 23.
When asked in the interview about her older children and their religious beliefs, she said: โthey have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, itโs my job to love them.โ
Ever since Tom and Nicole called it quits in 2001, the Oscar-winning actress has stayed tight lipped about her first marriage โ until now.
โBeing married to Tom Cruise at 22 is something Iโm always reluctant to talk about, because Iโm married now to the man who is my great love [Keith Urban], and it almost feels disrespectful.โ
Speaking to New York Magazine back in October, Nicole was asked about her first marriage.
โI got married very young, but it definitely wasnโt power for me โ it was protection,โ the star added. โI married for love, but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed. I would work, but I was still very much cocooned. So when I came out of it at 32, 33, itโs almost like I had to grow up.โ

Now, itโs her relationship with Keith and their daughterโs that the Big Little Lies actress focuses on, but she does have one simple regret.
โI wish I could have met him much earlier and had way more children with him, but I didnโt. I mean, if I could have had two more children with him that would have been just glorious,โ Nicole has remarked.
The sentiment is echoed from Keith, who describes the actress as โan amazing wife and motherโ who is also his โbest friend.โ
