Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have celebrated their daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban’s 13th birthday in style.
The 54-year-old Aussie star showed off a huge chocolate cake and colourful display of balloons in an Instagram post dedicated to her daughter.
“Happy happy birthday Sunday! We love you so much – yum yum!!!! 😍😍😍” the actress wrote.
Only a tiny fraction of Nicole’s face was visible in the snap she shared, but fans got a great look at the four-layer cake the family tucked into for Sunday’s birthday on Wednesday.
The frame was also filled with a whole host of brightly-coloured balloons, including metallic pink and gold ones as well as a few filled with confetti.
Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born on July 7, 2008, and turned 13 this week.
Finally hitting her teen years, we can’t help but wonder if Sunday will finally get her own Instagram account soon?
The platform requires users to be 13 or older to sign up, and many Aussie youngsters create their own profiles the day they hit 13.
But Nicole has made it clear in the past that she’s not keen on her and Keith’s children having a social media presence.
“They don’t have a phone and I don’t allow them to have an Instagram. I try to keep some sort of boundaries,” she told Vanity Fair in 2019.
The actress also avoids sharing photos of Sunday and younger sister Faith, 10, to her own social media accounts, posting only a few rare photos of the girls.
Sunday is Nicole and Keith’s first child together, and Nicole’s first biological child.
During her marriage to Tom Cruise, the Oscar winner adopted a girl and boy through the church of Scientology; Isabella Jane Cruise, 28, and Connor Cruise, 26.
Both adult children keep their relationship with their famous mother largely private, and the 54-year-old rarely speaks about them in interviews.
In 2014, Connor told Woman’s Day: “I love my mum. I don’t care what people say. I know that me and mum are solid. I love her a lot”.
Meanwhile, Nicole shared a few details about Bella in a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, saying: “Bella lives just outside London. You know, she really feels more English.”
When asked about her relationship with her adopted children again in 2019, the actress opened up about the ups and downs of their relationship.
“Motherhood is about the journey,” she told The Sun. “There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.
“They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love.”
