Nicole Kidman met Hollywood heart-throb, Tom Cruise, on the set of Days of Thunder, where they had a whirlwind romance and married soon after when she was just 23-years-old reports Hello.
“I was a baby when I married Tom, but I don’t regret any of it,” the actress admitted to the Evening Standard.
Shortly after they adopted two children, Isabella and Connor, and 11 years later they called it quits and divorced.
Nicole said this was a very difficult time for her, she was the “loneliest” she’d ever felt. She retreated from the spotlight and the Grace of Monaco actress took some time to recalibrate.
It was when she least expected it that she met and fell in love with country singer Keith Urban, a fellow Australian, and in 2005 the pair married, and had a family.
Now after 10 years together Keith and Nicole seem more in love than ever.
“It’s unbelievable that we found each other and at that stage in our lives were able to connect in that way and be that open to what the future was going to be,” she told Vogue.
“But we really commit to each other and give to the relationship; our priority is to be together. I don’t ever take it for granted. What I have now – the life I have with Keith and with my whole family – it doesn’t just tumble into your lap; it’s from setting my sights on it and saying ‘ I so don’t want to be alone, I don’t want to walk this alone’ and I found that.”
