Yesterday’s exclusive Australian Women’s Weekly story that Bradley Morcombe, twin brother of murdered Queensland teenager Daniel Morcombe, is having a baby with his wife Anna touched the hearts of thousands.
As did the news that Daniel’s long-suffering mother Denise will finally experience the joy of being a grandmother.
Overnight, the Weekly’s website was flooded by messages from right across the country, all wishing Bradley and Anna the best for their happy news.
The messages also encouraged Brad and Daniel’s parents Bruce and Denise to immerse themselves in the joy and love that a new child will bring to their family after almost a decade of heart-breaking sadness since Daniel’s abduction and murder in 2003.
The birth of a baby was, many said, a perfect opportunity to rekindle love, hope and happiness in their lives.
