Moana Hope and wife Isabella Carlstrom have celebrated an incredible milestone for their little family – they just bought a house.
The former AFLW star and model revealed on Thursday that they had purchased a property, and Moana hinted that they have special plans for it.
Taking to Instagram with two photos from her new home, the 33-year-old confessed she never thought she’d see this moment.
“I’ve lived paycheque to paycheque. I couldn’t afford rent. I’ve been evicted from houses and lived in a caravan,” Moana wrote.
“I’ve even slept on a friend’s sofa and had my utilities cut off. I’ve been knocked down more than you could imagine and… I did this. We did this.
“I’ve worked full time since I was 17 and we have been saving every cent we could. Growing up, the only way I thought I’d ever buy a house is if I won the lotto. We would have bought a bigger house but Vinny refuses to pay rent so…. 🤣 Bring on the house reno’s. 🏡 👩👩👧👧 #wedidit #home #family #thesemoments”
“Bring on the renos” is right – we can’t wait to see what the gorgeous couple do to transform their new home!
Moana shared her excited caption alongside a photo of her and Isabella standing in front of a ‘sold’ sign with their baby daughter Svea. A second snap showed the happy mothers sharing a kiss in front of their new home.
Isabella posted a similar update to her own Instagram page, writing of the purchase: “It still doesn’t feel real but we bought our first home!”
The 27-year-old included another photo of her, Moana and Svea outside the property’s ‘Sold’, sign, as well as one of her putting the ‘sold’ sticker on it.
She went on to say: “I’m so proud and excited for our little family. I can’t wait to get out teeth stuck into it and start creating out dream space. Cheers to the future and our first Carlstrom family home ❤️”
It’s an exciting move for the couple, who welcomed their first child Svea in November 2020 after undergoing IVF.
And their purchase comes just a few weeks before the pair celebrate their second wedding anniversary in August.
Two-time Survivor contestant Moana is also the sole carer for her younger sister, Lavinia Hope, nicknamed Vinny, who she mentioned in her Instagram post.
Vinny lives with a rare neurological condition called Moebius syndrome, and Moana says she couldn’t be prouder of her sister.
She told Woman’s Day in March: “Being around her makes me a better person because she is the best human I know.”
Vinny will continue to live with Moana and Isabella in their new home, and their family could continue to grow in the coming years.
Just a few months ago Moana confessed to Woman’s Day that she and Isabella definitely have plans to give Svea some siblings.
“I want a houseful of babies! But we’re aiming for three at the moment,” she said.
