Supermodel Miranda Kerr appears to have it all, but behind her famous smile lies the torment caused by her ex-boyfriend.**
She is rich, famous and dating one of Hollywood’s hottest stars — but Miranda Kerr is still haunted by the heartache her parents suffered when they were forced to sell the family home because of her ex-boyfriend Adrian Camilleri’s failed business.
“We lost $850,000,” Miranda’s dad John tells Woman’s Day. “We were almost bankrupted. It’s caused a lot of heartache. We’re just trying to get on with our lives and put it behind us.”
John — who describes himself as a “lowly carpenter” — and wife Therese, from Gunnedah in north-west NSW, invested their life savings with Camilleri, 34, when he was dating Miranda.
They lost the lot when his five companies collapsed last year, owing $20million.
“We’re still hoping to get some of our money back but we don’t have any contact with him at all,” says John, who says Miranda was devastated by their huge losses…
