The supermodel – who is rumoured to have lost her $1 million contract with lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret – took to the catwalk to model the new uniforms by Australian fashion designer Martin Grant.

Miranda showed off the airline’s new navy trench coat and hat, paired with a navy, red and pink shift dress and Christian Louboutin heels.

She was joined on the catwalk by Qantas flight and ground staff on a break from their day jobs.

Grant beat Collette Dinnigan, Josh Goot and Dion Lee to design the new uniforms.

The designs replace Peter Morrissey’s 11-year-old boomerang print uniforms.

The Qantas uniform has been redesigned nine times since 1959.

Previously uniforms have been designed by Yves Saint Laurent and Emilio Pucci.

Qantas crew also modelled at the event.

The new uniforms will be worn by all ground and flight staff except pilots by early 2014.
