Australian super model Miranda Kerr has been involved in a serious car accident in Los Angeles.
Miranda was rushed to hospital after another car rammed the car she was travelling in with her assistant on an LA freeway on Monday.
Her spokeswoman Annie Kelly told Fairfax that she had MRI scans following the incident and is now wearing a neck brace.
Annie said Miranda was grateful that her one-year-old son Flynn wasn’t in the car at the time.
“She is in a lot of pain but really, we are just glad that it was not more serious,” she said.
Annie said Miranda was now recovering at home with husband Orlando Bloom by her side.
“He’s taking very good care of her. He’s an amazing husband,” she said.
Miranda’s mother Therese Kerr has also spoken about the incident thanking her Instagram followers for their support and concern.
“Please know that Miranda is fine. She was involved in a car accident and is currently having to wear a neck brace, but thankfully she is ok and Flynn wasn’t in the car with her,” she wrote.
“Everyone is fine so please don’t worry.”
The driver of the other car was arrested and is likely to face charges.
Kerr will be back in Australia next month to unveil the new Qantas uniforms, designed by Melbourne-born, Paris-based designer Martin Grant.
