Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish have announced they are getting divorced.
Billy Ray filed for divorce in 2010 but changed his mind, and the pair have been working on their marriage ever since. But now it’s Tish who’s had a change of heart.
“This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family,” the couple told People.
“We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Tish is requesting primary physical and legal custody of their daughter Noah, 13, with visitation for Billy Ray, court documents reveal. She is also seeking spousal support and wants her estranged husband to pay her legal fees.
Billy Ray recently hinted that the pair’s relationship was once again on the rocks.
“We’ve both been very busy in pursuit of different things we have going on. We’re taking it one day at a time,” he told People in May.
The pair have been married 19 years and have five children.
