When news broke that superstar Miley Cyrus and Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth had decided to split, fans of the pair were in collective shock.
After just seven months of marriage, the couple had decided to go their seperate ways, confirmed by their rep.
And now, 24 hours after the news first broke, Miley has taken to her Instagram account for the first time.
Sharing some very “Miley” pics of her standing on top of a mountain in Italy, the popstar wrote: “Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win.”
“Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.”
“My dad always told me ‘Nature never hurries but it is always on time’…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true.”
Reflecting back on her own life, she then added: “I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own …. [sic].”
”Change is inevitable.”

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers,” the statement continued.
“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Rumours of a split have been swirling for weeks, intensifying when Miley declared at Glastonbury in July that she was “f–king sick of men”.
Just days later, Hunger Games star Liam removed his wedding ring. The Aussie hunk, 29, was spotted looking glum – and his ring finger noticeably bare – while on a coffee run in LA.
Sources told Woman’s Day last month there was trouble in paradise for Liam and Miley, 26, who only tied the knot in December last year.
“Liam feels like Miley is going off the rails again, and he just doesn’t like being around her when she’s like that,” said the insider, noting that the singer’s wild child persona was believed to be the cause of their split in 2013.
“He says he needs time to figure out what he wants.”
The pair had barely been seen together in weeks, with Liam spending time with his mum and dad.
Miley and Liam met in 2008 on the set of The Last Song, a romantic movie based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks.
They went public with their relationship in 2010 and became engaged in 2012, but broke it off a year later and then reunited in 2015 before their low-key wedding in December 2018.
