Mick Jagger commemorates the late L’Wren Scott on her birthday

Mick Jagger has shared a touching tribute on what would have been his late girlfriend, L'Wren Scott’s 51st birthday.

It’s been a little over a year since the designer passed away, and her long-time partner has taken to social media to honour his partner.

Mick shared a stunning black-and-white photo on Twitter that showed the model striking a pose in a little black dress in what appeared to be a recording studio.

“Remembering L’Wren on her birthday,” the Rolling Stones front-man wrote.

Tragically, the beauty took her own life in March last year following a battle with depression.

At the time of her death, Mick Jagger took to Facebook to address his utter heartache. “I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” he wrote.

“We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.”

“I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her.”

The 71-year-old had been with L’Wren for more than a decade.

Earlier this year, Mick established a fashion scholarship fund in his partner’s honour at Central Saint Martin’s School in London.
