Michelle Bridges has posted an incredible ‘throwback’ photo on her Instagram this week of the days when she used to compete in body building competitions.

The 44 year-old Biggest Loser trainer and boss of a fitness empire captioned the photo,

“Throw Back Tuesday! Ha! I’ve had a lot of people lately ask me about when I competed in Miss Figure, Miss Australia Fitness and Miss World Fitness in USA.

“Here’s a couple of snaps from back in the day … gawd that bikini was a bit small?!? I’m cringing but also quite chuffed. I won the Miss Oceania title and other bits and pieces. Hard training. Tough nutrition. Ticked the box.”

And boy should Bridges be chuffed, that is one impressive rig.

However the still super fit Bridges now has a more relaxed approach to fitness than the stringent standards required of body building competitions. She told news.com.au recently that she doesn’t care if people work out at the gym, they just need to sweat it out, anyway they fancy.

“For some reason, the idea of going into a gym makes [people] feel nauseous or it bores them to tears. So it might be going surfing or going to a trapeze class or doing pole dancing, handstand classes, whatever!” she said.

The key thing, Bridges told The Weekly in an interview was to make exercise a priority – for your health and wellbeing – and fit your life around it.

“Lay down a realistic game plan that fits with your lifestyle and schedule, and execute it with military precision. Mark your exercise sessions in your diary, just like you would a business meeting, because time isn’t going to fall into your lap,” she said.
