In last week’s issue of Woman’s Day Michael Turnbull and his new girlfriend, single mum Katrina Vincent, gushed about their relationship, even hinting to us that marriage is on the cards.
And barely a fortnight after the pair proclaimed their love for each other, they’ve called it quits in the most dramatic fashion.
“Ok so for all of you who have been asking… Michael and I are no longer together,” Katrina wrote in Instagram alongside a picture of her two-year-old daughter Ava.
“He ended up deciding he doesn’t want to date a person with a child,” she fumed.
The 30-year-old made her feelings about the former soccer player very clear in the scathing social media post.
“I am embarrassed and humiliated, I wish I didn’t trust him so easily. Oh well you always learn from your mistakes,” she concluded.
Michael has since switched his instagram account to private.
The duo first met after a flirty social media exchange, so it’s only fitting that it ended on the platform too.
When we spoke to the couple earlier this month they explained just how in love they were.
“Yes, I’m in love – and I know that’s crazy because it’s too soon. But when you know, you know,” the mum-of-one said.
Meanwhile, 34-year-old real estate agent Michael gushed that Katrina was “very, very special.”
“This is the first time I’ve felt like this about any girl,” he added. What a difference a couple of weeks make!
Despite the Brisbane babe’s fiery social media outburst, Michael has remained completely silent over the matter.
Katrina took to Instagram again this morning to post a rather inspirational and empowering message, clearly reference her recent heartbreak.
“The best revenge is always to just happily move on and let Karma do the rest,” it read.
