The 41-year-old singer has spoken candidly to PrideSource about his children.
“Having two boys of my own who I love more than I’ll ever love myself, I can’t tell you how crushing it would be if they couldn’t feel that they could tell their father that they were gay – or different in any way,” Michael said in the online interview.
Michael has two sons, three-year-old Noah and 11 months old Elias, with wife Luisana Lopilato.
The jazz musician explained to the publication how LGBT issues were incredibly important to him.

The proud dad spoke of how he’d react if either of his boys were to come out, stating he’d have “nothing but love.”
“It’s because I love them, man,” Michael said.
“I love them so much that I just want them to be happy. My goal in life is to make them beautiful, happy human beings.”
Since becoming a father, Michael has become vocal about his stance on LGBT issues.
Taking part in gay activism initiatives, the Canadian-born singer says he doesn’t mind what his fans think, “because years from now, when my kids grow up… they’re going to be proud of their father because their father was on the right side of the line.”
During the same chat, Michael recalled the moment he met his now wife, admitting the Argentinian beauty actually thought he was gay.
Laughing at the memory, the father-of-two explained that the model was with a male friend.
“I naturally assumed that this was her boyfriend or her husband, so I refused to hit on her,” he recalled. “But the more I drank that night, the more brazen I got about trying to find out what the situation was between them.”
After five years of marriage and two kids… clearly the confusion rectified itself.
