Mel B and daughter Phoenix Chi Gulzar turned heads in Los Angeles on Monday, stepping out for the red carpet kickoff for the new season of America’s Got Talent.
The duo coordinated their looks for the event, opting for heavily-embellished mini dresses in shades of silver and white. Their shoe choices were the only point of difference, with Mel donning a strappy high-heeled sandal and her 19-year-old daughter choosing a simple black pump.
Taking to Instagram, the Spice Girl shared the special mother-daughter moment with a collage of pictures from the outing.
She captioned the pic: “Today was take your kid to work day at @agt haha even at 19 years old she still loves being with her mama awwwww @phoenixisphoenix I love you,” adding the hash-tags “#motherdaughterbond #unbreakable #shestolemydress #girlpower #familyiseverything #unconditionallove.”
The 42-year-old’s followers were quick to comment on the stunning pictures, with many expressing their shock over just how much the teenager has grown.
“Oh gosh, I feel old,” one wrote, while another added: “I remember watching Phoenix on your show called Mel’s World & now she’s a teenager…..absolutely beautiful 💞”
A third noted: “Phoenix is growing into a beautiful lady. You must be really proud.”
During the event, Mel also confirmed that the Spice Girls would be hitting the road together for the first time since 2008.
Despite Victoria Beckham telling Vogue last month that the women are “not going on tour,” Mel said on Monday night: “Well it is already confirmed, we are all signed to Simon Fuller. All five of us.”
According to The Sun, the girls want their comeback to be inherently British and, with that in mind, are gunning for a slot at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming royal wedding.
“Geri suggested the Royal Wedding is a fantastic opportunity, and that they should offer to perform at the reception,” an insider explained.
“She has been told that Meghan was a big fan of the Spice Girls. And the wedding fits in perfectly with Geri’s idea that the reunion should be very British.”
“She sees it as a big part of their identity, and one they should keep.”
Here’s hoping!
