It’s time you get to know the 23-year-old former Neighbours star who is tipped to be Hollywood’s next big thing.
Margot Robbie, who began her career as Donna Freedman on the hit Aussie soap opera, is the latest starlet to make it big in LA.
The blonde beauty stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in new flick, The Wolf of Wall Street, which is due for release in Australia later this month.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film is already up for several award nominations, including a BAFTA nod for Leo, but the question many people are asking is: Who is Margot Robbie?
Here, we introduce you our newest household name.

Since leaving Neighbours Margot’s star has been steadily on the rise and her fashion sense has been turning heads. At the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party she wore this gorgeous lacy Georges Hobeika Atelier dress.
Margot migrated to New York while filming The Wolf of Wall Street and battled the bitter city winds with this Paule Ka coat.
Like any actor, Margot has had her fair share of hiccups on her road to fame but the Aussie actress told reporters that she approaches her journey with resolute optimism: “Everything happens for a reason, or at least you tell yourself that. Everything that’s wrong in your life, it must be because something better’s around the corner. And if you don’t tell yourself that you’ll go crazy.”
Margot got her first taste of the red carpet fashion at the Logies. While it’s not the Oscars, the starlet turned heads in 2010 when she dazzled in this white bejewelled floor length gown.
Back in 2011 the starlet looked lush in a little black dress for the My Week with Marilyn premiere.

While some actors are sheepish about their soapy experience, Margot says shooting Neighbours was a perfect platform to cultivate her work ethic: “It’s harder than anyone gives it credit for. A movie shoots six months for two hours of film. We shot an episode a day … There are three cameras, booms everywhere; you have to hit your mark perfectly every time. There’s no room for error.”
Margot looks every bit the blonde bombshell in this white floor-length Armani Prive gown she wore to the New York premiere of The Wolf of Wall Street.
Margot films scenes for her new rom-com flick with mega star Will Smith in Argentina.
While she may be the latest Hollywood bombshell to shoot to fame, Margot says she’s not in a rush to start taking her clothes off for her films: “It’s not just the repercussions on myself; my brothers have to deal with that, my grandparents have to deal with that. It’s not just something that affects me; it affects everyone around me. So it’s not something to be taken lightly. I obviously put a lot of thought into it.”
