The 33-year-old Brazilian beauty also shared the news on her social media account and penned: “Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country. #newuscitizen.”
The pair both paired their super sweet tweets with a stunning snap of their young family.
In the cute pic the couple are beaming from ear-to-ear as they stand with their kids, Levi, 7, Vida, 5, and Livingston, 2 in a US courtroom.
Camila first moved to America when she was 15 and found work as a housekeeper and waitress, until she improved her English enough to break into the modelling industry.
The Oscar-winner dated Camila for six years before he decided to pop the question, with the pair tying the knot in June, 2012 with a lavish Texan bash.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, the 45-year-old revealed why it took so long for him ask Camila to be his wife.
“I had to get to the point where I saw it as more than just the thing to do, I wanted to really want to. You know, I didn’t want it to be a destination,” he recalled.
Before eloquently adding: “the fun is that we’re on the adventure together. And look, some of it had to do with her putting it on me. It took her going, ‘C’mon, Big Boy, Mr. Easygoing-We’ll- Get-to-It-When-We-Get-to-It. Either s**t or get off the pot.”
