Cracks within the marriage have dramatically deepened following the couple’s troubled visit to New York.
The strain of being a royal wife is taking its toll on Princess Mary, as she struggles to keep her marriage to Prince Frederik alive following the couple’s tension-plagued US visit.
Trouble has been brewing for months, as the Aussie royal struggles with the pressure of bringing up two small children alone while Fred indulges in his passions for sailing and partying.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m a single mother,” she told friends.
Mary had hoped the couple’s trip to New York would be just the antidote their marriage needs — but instead, she often found herself alone while Fred amused himself elsewhere or slept.
“I have been sitting and looking out the window of the car,” she said of her lonely New York visit — before revealing that all of the highlights of her trip were spent by herself or with her daughter…
