โ€œI panicked because I didnโ€™t feel the baby moving last night or this morning,โ€ Martha said.

โ€œSo we went to the emergency room,โ€ she added, where they got a scan.

Dad-to-be Michael then chimed in, saying: โ€œThey listened to the heart-beat, which we couldnโ€™t hear at first.โ€

โ€œI was freaking out,โ€ confessed Martha. โ€œI was about to get up off the bed and be like โ€˜get another machineโ€™.โ€

While, in reality, the scan was a blip of time, Michael explained that it felt like a lifetime as they waited to hear their babyโ€™s heart.

The couple were scared something happened to their baby.

โ€œIt was about 30 seconds; it felt like a year just staring at each other and waiting.โ€

โ€œIt was really horrific,โ€ Martha concluded. โ€œAnyway, Iโ€™ve just done the biggest unboxing,โ€ she segued, before panning the camera to the pile of boxes behind her.

The MAFS alum then gushed as she showed her followers a slew of baby clothes.

Martha and Michael announced they were expecting their first child together in September.

The news came as a surprise after the couple drastically cut down their social media presence in July during their European holiday. They later revealed that the mum-to-be was seriously ill and had to return home to Australia.

โ€œItโ€™s been a minute since weโ€™ve been online, so we wanted to explain our situation and make a little bit of an announcement, and that is that Martha is pregnant,โ€ Michael began on Instagram.

Martha, however, added that her pregnancy had not been the most โ€œexciting, wonderful timeโ€.

โ€œI donโ€™t want to sound like I am complaining,โ€ she said. โ€œWe are so excited; we are so happy. It was a complete surprise.โ€

โ€œBut at five weeks I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, which is basically severe chronic nausea and vomiting with no relief. It is like 24/7,โ€ Martha continued.

โ€œI literally did not get out of bed for two months, I was so sick. I could not eat or drink anything. There were days that I did not even get up to pee.

โ€œI feel really bad because I donโ€™t really know how to navigate this and talk about this because I feel like thereโ€™s women who have the best time when theyโ€™re pregnant. And then thereโ€™s people who struggle so hard, and they will do anything to be pregnant,โ€ she admitted.
