Married At First Sight success story Zoe and Alex have revealed their heartache at losing their first baby together.
The reality TV stars – who were the only ones to find lasting love on the hit show – discussed their devastating loss on A Current Affair last night.
Alex said they were thrilled when Zoe fell pregnant a few months into their whirlwind but their joy was shortlived.
“It was the best news I’ve ever had. I was so happy and I couldn’t wait to share it with the rest of Australia,” Alex said.
“Unfortunately Zoe had a miscarriage and so it didn’t work out the way we were planning.”

But while they are still reeling from the news, Zoe says they are determined the loss will bring them closer together.
“As sad as it is, I guess to have to have such happiness and then such sadness … we can hope that it will help build our love more and will make us really appreciate each other.”
They are also planning to tie the knot – for real this time – in the future.
“I’m looking forward to popping the question to Zoe one day,” Alex said. “I want to do it in a spectacular proposal one day.”
