It was reality TV at it’s best.
Jono Pitman had only just moved in with his Married At First Sight “wife” Clare Verrall before she accused him of cheating and “daily tantrums”.
The pair, for whom it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, found some common ground on their Northern Territory “honeymoon” but it all went pear-shaped when Jono moved into Clare’s Melbourne home.
After a relatively peaceful first night, the bickering began, with Clare chiding Jono about his daily tantrums.
All of which, made for great TV. But now Clare has taken to social media complaining about her representation in the “highly edited” show.
“A HUGE thank you to all my wonderful friends, family & even the extraordinarily large number of amazing strangers who have offered me kind words of support this week. Watching last nights episode was certainly difficult & very confronting,” Clare posted after the episode aired.
“I’m looking forward to my contract being up in three months time so I can share all that went on, rather than the highly edited versions that are shown during the ‘experiment’! Luckily I had some of my closest friends & Dutchy there for support,” Clare wrote.
Followers on social media voiced their support of Clare with one poster saying: “There is nothing wrong with your ability to communicate or your maturity. Anyone who suggests so perhaps should reflect on why they need to attack another to feel big.”
