They seemed like a match made in heaven, but just seven weeks after the Married At First Sight finale aired, Christie Jordee and Mark Hughes have ended their relationship.
The fan favourites announced their split in this week’s Woman’s Day magazine after seven happy months together.
Christie told the magazine she was “100 per cent falling in love with” Mark but living so far from each other – Christie lives in Sydney while Mark calls a farm in country Victoria home – eventually took its toll.
“We were starting to fall in love but our heads got in front of our hearts,” she said.
“We couldn’t get into the relationship because we’d see each other once a week, but then not the next,” Mark added. “I felt like we were holding back because we knew we’d get hurt.”
The only Married At First Sight season two stars still together are Erin and Bryce.
