Mariah Carey’s older brother, Morgan, has called his sister “heartless” and an “evil witch” after the mega star has refused to pay for medical treatment for their dying sister.
Mariah, 45, is worth an estimated $520 million but she allegedly will not help her HIV-positive sister Alison when it comes to footing the bill for her essential brain and spine surgery.
Alison, who admitted she was a prostitute to feed and clothe the family before Mariah found fame, has suffered health issues since a brush with death in Hawaii last year.
Brother Morgan spoke with The Sun on Sunday and his anger at the sad situation was not veiled.
“She probably spends more on dog food than it would cost to make sure her sister gets properly cared for,” he raged.
In an effort to get Mariah to help he appealed:
“Your sister is dying and she is struggling and where are you? You think you are so fabulous, but you are a witch.”
Mariah, who is gearing up to wed billionaire James Packer, has long been hailed as one of the industry’s biggest divas but her penniless sister’s life could not be a further contrast from her own.
