Their engagement came to a crashing end last September, but Mariah Carey is reportedly eyeing up a romantic reunion with James Packer.
According to a source, the diva is keen to win back the Aussie billionaire following the end of her five-month fling with back-up dancer Bryan Tanaka, 34, who she split from in April.
“She’s told pals she wants him back,” reveals an insider.
“Bryan was just a rebound fling to get over James. Being with [Bryan] made her see she had something special with James.”
Mariah and James called off their engagement in September 2016 after the couple had a fight while holidaying in Greece and it became a case of he said, she said.
A source for Mariah told People, “James has not been in a mentally healthy place. His behaviour was not a desirable situation for Mariah so she unfortunately had to leave him.” But it didn’t take long before James’ rep hit back claiming, “They split because she has issues.”
But James isn’t the only ex Mariah, 47, is reportedly eager to have a second shot with, because according to People she’s also hoping that there’s still a spark with her ex-hubby Nick Canon, 36.
“Mariah and Nick are getting along great,” says the source of the former couple, who split in 2014 after six years of marriage and share twins Moroccan and Monroe, six.
“Nick spends most of his time with Mariah and the kids. Mariah is great with Nick around. There seems to be hope that they will get back together.”
And Mimi might have more luck in winning back Nick over James, 49, given the rapper recently admitted that the diva is still very much his dream girl.
“I love her, I adore her,” he said back in April, before going on to reveal that he still spends the night at Mimi’s place.
