Mariah Carey is getting candid about her divorce from Nick Cannon.
“I never thought I would have babies with someone and then get divorced. Like, ‘Oh, great job. Repeat your past,'” the 46-year-old singer said of her 2014 split from Nick, 35, with whom she has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
“But life happens. And it was supposed to happen. It’s fine. For [my kids], I wish it hadn’t happened that way. For me, it was… too much, too little, too late. Guess it’s over. Call it a day,” Mariah recently told Complex magazine.
The “We Belong Together” songstress and Nick wed in April 2008 and finalised their divorce in April 2015. In January 2016, Mariah — who was previously married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 until 1997 — announced her engagement to billionaire James Packer.
