People would pay millions to have Mariah Carey sing at their wedding but the superstar won’t be entertaining guests with a sing-a-long at her own nuptials.
The We Belong Together singer is set to marry Aussie billionaire James Packer however, when asked if she would sing at her own wedding, she told PEOPLE, “Why would you sing at your own wedding? It’s obnoxious.”
Mariah, 46, recently stepped out with her husband-to-be for the 27th Annual New York GLAAD Media Awards in New York.
However, she turned up fashionably late, revealing she found it difficult to part from her two young children.
“When I’m all ready, they’re like, ‘Mummy, stay home, we want you to stay home,’” she told PEOPLE.
“So it’s not as easy as it used to be to get ready and go to an event. I have to make sure they’re good and settled and then leave.”
