The pair have decided to go their separate ways after working together for the past 15 years.
“I have enormous respect for Mariah. She is one of the great talents and voices of our time, and I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavours,” Cindi said.
While Cindi has nothing but good things to say about the pop singer, it is believed that tension had been building between the pair and Cindi finally became fed up with Mariah’s diva-like behavior.
“I care very deeply for her personally, but I felt that professionally it was time for us to move on,” Cindi said.
Cindi Berger has dumped Mariah as a client.
The split comes just days after the announcement that the pop diva is set to star in her own Christmas film which will include some of her classic holiday songs.
While Mariah’s film career, especially her appearance in Glitter, wasn’t so successful, she is hoping to reinvent herself on the silver screen with the help of her pal Brett Ratner and James Packer’s company RatPac Entertainment.
Cindi, who is known as one of Hollywood’s most powerful publicists, has supported Mariah through her movie failures in the past.
Mariah has now hired herself new representation and says she is looking forward to hitting the stage at Caesars Palace on May 6.
“It’s a new chapter for me, and I’m so excited,” Carey said while appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show of her upcoming performance.
Mariah recently reunited with her estranged husband Nick Cannon.
