Nothing beats sitting back at the hairdresser and being pampered. In fact, it’s so relaxing it put Magda Szubanski to sleep!
Makeup-free and with a head full of foils, the beloved comedian, 54, nodded off in her chair as she indulged in a little “me time” at a hair salon in South Melbourne.
And who could blame her? Four years after we bade farewell to lovelorn netball enthusiast Sharon Strzelecki in Kath & Kim, Magda is gearing up to make her big TV comeback!
“You know, you’re busy, you’ve got long hours, and it just creeps up on you,” she jokes. “I blame an impaired part of my brain.”
With her hilarious new sketch show Open Slather – also starring former co-star Gina Riley – set to premiere at the end of this month, the long hours and late nights are taking their toll.
“I’m in the midst of a massive change. I don’t know where it’s heading. I’m just going to bumble on through,” she says.
But she wouldn’t have it any other way. “I could not be more excited!” she tweeted.
