Jenny Craig’s most successful ambassador is coming back after regaining the 35-plus kilos she lost on the program.
Industry insiders say Magda Szubanski is set to sign a lucrative deal to re-join the company that helped her shed 35kg between 2009 and 2011.
After stepping out with a cane and looking worse for wear, sources say Magda has reportedly accepted a hefty pay cheque to once again be the face of the weight-loss company.
The Kath & Kim star dropped from 121kg to 86kg, five short of her goal weight, but after her weight plateaued Jenny Craig executives replaced her as their ambassador with actress Rebel Wilson.
“As part of my ongoing health journey, Jenny Craig has provided some fabulous and practical tools and great support,” Magda said in a statement in 2011.
“It was never intended to be forever and I wish Rebel Wilson health and happiness. Go girl.”
Jenny Craig announced in 2008 that their membership enquiries went up by 50 per cent soon after recruiting Magda and the company was rumoured to have approached her again with a seven-figure contract in 2012.
Since then the company has seen the likes of ex-Spice Girl Mel B and entertainer Barry Humphries lead its marketing campaigns.
