Madonna has released a statement following her son Rocco Ritchie’s arrest where she pleads for privacy.
The 58-year-old singer has told The Associated Press that she is focused on supporting her 16-year-old following reports that he was arrested for possession of marijuana during a stop-and-search in London in September.
ET claims to have obtained a statement released by the Metropolitan Police in London which says Rocco was arrested on Sept. 28.
The Vogue singer called the state of affairs “a family matter.”
“I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time,” said Madge.
The mother-of-four recently took to Instagram to post a picture of her children that she captioned: “Reasons to be thankful!”
Rocco, Madonna’s eldest son, has been caught in a long custody battle between the singer and her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie. Both parties reportedly came to an agreement in September to allow the teenager to live with his filmmaker father in London.
