Amid a very public custody battle for her 15 year old son, Rocco, Madonna has told fans that “sometimes I think I can’t do a show,” reports Hello
Madonna and ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, have been fighting for custody of Rocco since December when Rocco left his mother’s “Rebel Heart” tour to go and stay with his father in London.
On stage in Mexico City, the Material Girl singer opened up to her audience about problems in her private life.
“We all go through challenging times in our life, and that includes me. I, too, go through challenging times in my life, and right now is one of them,” she began.
“Sometimes I think I can’t do a show. I don’t have the energy, I don’t have the strength. I come out here tonight and I can see your faces, and I look into your eyes and I see so much love and it give me strength,” she continued.
“So thank you. You are rebel hearts. I feel you beating with mine,” she concluded.
Madonna and Ritchie divorce states that Rocco is to live with his mother but it is believed that their relationship became strained while Rocco was on tour with his mum.
As it is now a legal issue, the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director, Ritchie, has hired a lawyer to fight for custody of his eldest child.
Over the Christmas period Madonna was not shy about posting images of her absent son and wishing him a public Merry Christmas on Instagram.
