Madonna has shared a family photo of her and son Rocco when he was a baby.
The superstar posted the picture on Instagram with the caption: ‘Tu me manque…………(sic)’, which translated to ‘I miss you’.
Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie have engaged in a custody battle over son, Rocco, 15 who reportedly fled to the UK to be with his dad late last year.
In the weeks since Madonna has seen her son she has spoken publicly about how much she is missing him.
During a concert in Mexico City, Madonna told the crowd of her challenging time.
“We all go through challenging times in our life, and that includes me. I, too, go through challenging times in my life, and right now is one of them,” she began.
“Sometimes I think I can’t do a show. I don’t have the energy, I don’t have the strength. I come out here tonight and I can see your faces, and I look into your eyes and I see so much love and it give me strength,” she continued.
“So thank you. You are rebel hearts. I feel you beating with mine,” she concluded.
Madonna and Ritchie divorce states that Rocco is to live with his mother but it is believed that their relationship became strained while Rocco was on tour with his mum.
As it is now a legal issue, the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels director, Ritchie, has hired a lawyer to fight for custody of his eldest child.
Over the Christmas period Madonna was not shy about posting images of her absent son and wishing him a public Merry Christmas on Instagram.
