Well, that’s one way to do it! Madonna has followed Katy Perry’s lead by encouraging the US population to vote in the upcoming election by, um, getting naked.
This morning, the pop superstar posted some politically-motivated nude images on her Instagram feed, telling her fans: “‘I’m voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She’s the Best we got! Nude Voting series # 1 (sic)”
However, the topless selfie was quickly deleted from Instagram and Twitter, but not before it was seen by hundreds of thousands of followers. She replaced the image with one of herself and Hillary on stage, captioned: “Living for Hillary. Yes I vote for intelligence. I vote for equal rights for women and all minorities.”
The day before, Katy Perry starred in a skit for Funny or Die to remind people to vote this November. In the clip she tried to vote naked before getting arrested, unofficially kick starting the naked political movement. The 31-year-old star explained that she wanted to use her body as “click bait” in order to get people to polls ahead of the election on November 8. Here’s what she posted on Instagram.
Both Katy and Madonna are vocal supporters of Hillary, along with plenty of other well-known faces like George Clooney, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn.
