In a myriad of controversy and legal disputes, Madonna finally became the adoptive parent of Malawian-born David Banda in 2006.

Madonna, accompanied by daughter, Lourdes, takes David back to his old orphanage in Mchinji, one year on from his adoption. He received a huge greeting from the 200 villagers who converged upon the orphanage to welcome him home.

Madonna attends the 46th Annual Grammy Awards on the 8th February, 2004.

Showing the world she has still got it, Madonna performs at the Live Earth concert in London on 7th July, 2007.
