Surprise! Lucy Liu has become a mother in the most beautiful way

The notoriously private Lucy Liu has surprised the world by announcing she has become a mum for the first time.

The Charlie Angels actress got the world’s most adorable delivery, welcoming a baby boy into the world who was born via a gestational surrogate.

46-year-old Lucy took to social media to share the beautiful news and revealed his gorgeous name, “Introducing the new little man in my life, my son Rockwell Lloyd Liu. In love!”

The caption was paired with a stunning black-and-white picture of the bub being cradled in his proud mum’s arms.

A representative for the Emmy winner explained, “I can confirm that Lucy Liu is the proud mother of Rockwell Lloyd Liu, brought into the world via gestational carrier.”

Rockwell Lloyd Liu was born via a gestational surrogate.

They added: “Mum and baby are healthy and happy.”

While Lucy did have her darling son via surrogacy, the baby is biologically the actress’.

Little Rockwell is the first child for Lucy who, despite a successful career in Hollywood has remained incredibly private about her personal life.

It’s not known if the Elementary actress is currently in a relationship, but in the past she has been linked to billionaire Noam Gottesman and actor Will McCormack.

Famously private Lucy Liu shared the surprise news on her social media accounts.

However, this may be the star’s only human child – she is already a proud mum to an adorable chocolate Labrador named Apple, who she describes as “the Apple of my eye.”

In an interview with USA Today back in 2010 the New Yorker discussed her ticking biological clock, “I never feel like it’s too early or too late for anything.”

She continued: “I don’t ever think for me that this traditional way is the way to go for me because I haven’t had a traditional life.”
