Liza Minnelli has been admitted to rehab for substance abuse.
The 69-year-old famed singer’s representative told People magazine that she is already checked into the facility in Malibu, which has not been named.
“Considering she’s doing so well, we expect that she’ll be released shortly,” Liza’s spokesman Scott Gorenstein said.
The Cabaret star has battled substance abuse through the years and has previously seeked help for her addicitons.
In 1984 she was treated for addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs following the death of her Mother Judy Garland.
Alcohol also played a role in the demise of her 16-month marriage to her fourth husband David Gest, with court documents claiming there were abusive, alcohol-fuelled incidents during their short time together.
We wish her all the best at this time.
