Liz Hurley tells: Why I love Shane

The English glamazon finally opens up about why she fell for the Aussie cricketer.

Their passionate love affair looks set to go down in history as one of the most famous cases of opposites attracting. Indeed, Elizabeth Hurley confesses she felt inexplicably and “instantly” drawn to Shane Warne from the moment she laid eyes on the spin king. Since then, she’s transformed him in ways we’d never have thought possible.

The stunning 46-year-old British model and actress, whose relationship with the bleached-blond Melbourne cricketer continues to captivate the world, is all too aware of the apparent differences between her and her long-distance lover. Yet Liz, the epitome of glamour and style, has candidly revealed she couldn’t help but be deeply interested when she met the reformed larrikin.

“We come from very different worlds, so I think that’s fascinating, if not odd, to many,” the newly divorced mother-of-one reflects in an interview with UK Grazia magazine. “But it’s not often you meet people you instantly feel comfortable with and when you find that – even though there are vast differences in background and experience – it’s worth following through.”

Liz admits she soon came to realise that she and Shane, 41, were very much on the same wavelength. “When you recognise you have a lot in common with someone, it’s nice to explore,” she tells Grazia. “It helps to be open to new things. Some close off and become more insular as they grow older; for me, it’s the other way. I care less what people think. I find it liberating.”
