Liz Hurley spent some time recently at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London – a place filled to the brim with artifacts and mementos from some of history’s most defining moments.
The mum-of-one’s usual backdrop for her Instagram photos is an exotic location, a star-studded party or her picturesque English property – but while at the museum, Liz saw an opportunity and went for it, even if it was to her detriment.
The 50-year-old and her pal Patrick Cox came across a stunning four-poster bed from the 16th century called The Great Bed of Ware during their trip.
It was then and there that Liz knew she needed to have a photo while sitting on the priceless artefact – because Instagram, duh!
As she took her place the alarms went off and security rushed to the scene to find Liz happily taking a quick photo while perching herself on the edge of the bed.
Fear not though, she still managed to get the money shot.
“Oops. Couldn’t resist perching on this magnificent bed in the glorious V&A last night,” she wrote on the social media site before adding, “and set all the alarms off. Thank you to the @vamuseum staff for being nice.”
Reports suggest however that the Royals actress was escorted from the building after being shooed off the bed.
No doubt a very embarrassing encounter for poor Liz, but it was all in the name of the perfect Instagram post.
If you ask us, it was totally worth it.
