Lisa Wilkinson is officially a mother to a daughter in her mid-20s, and we can’t believe how much Billi FitzSimons has grown.
To mark Billi’s 24th birthday, the Project host shared a throwback picture from a family trip to Paris back before anyone knew about Covid.
In the shot, Lisa and Billi smile for a selfie with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
“Me and my birthday gal…back when we could. And we will again!! Love you @billifitz – stay strong. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎂,” the proud mum captioned her post.
Friends of the mother-daughter duo filled the comments section with well-wishes.
“So cute! Miss both those beautiful faces. And Paris. Happiest of days @billifitz – good things always ❤️❤️,” said one friend.
Another remarked, “OMG…so grown up…can’t believe I once held her in my arms!.”
With lockdown still in place, Lisa has been encouraging Australians to get vaccinated, and in August, celebrated her daughter’s decision to get AstraZeneca.
The proud mum reposted a picture Billi had posted onto her personal Instagram account, with a big smile on her face and a round Band-Aid.
“My girl just got her first AZ jab. 23 years old and couldn’t be happier. Good on you @billifitz 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏,” Lisa captioned the snap.
In June, Lisa documented her own AZ journey and admitted to feeling nervous, but explained she got through it with her husband Peter FitzSimons by her side and some ice cream.
“First AZ shot done and literally didn’t feel a thing… So glad to finally have the first one out of the way. Hubby and I went together, and he got his SECOND shot at the same time,” Lisa wrote on Instagram at the time.
“I have to admit, I was a tiny bit nervous, so I bought one of those tubs of Magnum ice-cream (that well known medical cure-all) this afternoon just in case I was feeling bad tonight. I feel great. I ate the ice-cream anyway…
“Meantime, here’s to life getting back to normal (and Magnum ice-cream!!).🎉 🌺 🍦 🍫 🥂.”
