Lisa Marie Presley’s daughters are now in the custody of California’s child services, with a trial set for March to determine their future.
The eight-year-old twin girls, Finley and Harper, were taken away from their parents after “pictures and disturbing videos” of children were allegedly found on what Lisa Marie claims is her estranged husband’s computer, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.
The 49-year-old said she was “shocked and horrified and sick to my stomach,” in court papers filed as part of her ongoing divorce from her husband and the twins’ father, Michael Lockwood.
She added: “I have no idea what else may be on those devices and fear that there are more and worse images and evidence in these un-analyzed devices.”
The images were found after authorities executed a search warrant on the singer-songwriter’s home, collecting 80 of Michael’s devices during the raid.
TMZ report that it was Lisa Marie – the only child of Elvis Presley – who tipped the police off about the disturbing content.
The pair, who married in Kyoto, Japan in 2006, began divorce proceedings last June. The “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ yet” hitmaker cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for the divorce, according to TMZ.
In the papers, Lisa Marie also accuses the 55-year-old of misappropriating her funds, alleging that he spent over $1 million of her money without her consent.
At the time, she requested full custody of the couple’s children, specifying that her estranged husband was only to be granted visitation if monitored.
Shortly after filing for divorce, Lisa Marie Presley checked herself into a rehab facility amid serious battles with addictions to alcohol and painkillers, according to a new report from The National Enquirer.
The singer reportedly checked into The Hills Treatment Centre in Los Angeles, a place that specially caters for celebrities, at the cost of $400,000 a month.
It has previously been reported that Michael too has suffered from drug addictions, even overdosing on one occasion.
Michael is the brunette star’s fourth marriage.
She was first married to Danny Keough, with whom she shares son Ben and daughter Riley, before famously tying the knot with Michael Jackson, followed by Nicolas Cage.
Her marriage to Nic was one of the shortest in Hollywood history, only lasting three months.
Opening up about her failed marriages to Marie Claire previously, the singer said, “I had been really sheltered. I got married the first time very, very young. And the marriage I was in, there was so much resentment about who I was, because I had more than he did, and it became a power struggle.”
She continued, “It is hard for a man to be with a woman who is stronger, wealthier. So in my mind I’m thinking, I know, I’ll get with someone more compatible.”
