When pictures of former Olympian Lisa Curry marrying the man of her dreams, Mark Tabone, dropped back in May, we didn’t know if we could ever slow our heart-racing-with-happiness down.

From Lisa’s grown-up look-alike kids sharing the love on her special day to Lisa and her Elvis impersonator beau revelling in being surrounded by those who mean the most to them, Lisa and Mark’s Sunshine Coast nuptials were certainly a heartwarming sight to be seen – one that The Australian Women’s Weekly were exclusively invited to be a part of.

Lisa and daughters Morgan and Jaimi (with grandson Flynn) get wedding-ready.

And now, understandably, 55-year-old Lisa is still living in her love bubble, posting even more gorgeous pictures of her May 11 wedding to social media.

In one picture with her three kids in her bridal Cadillac, she wrote: “Here comes the bride… How gorgeous to have my 3 children with me on this special day.”

But it was the picture of Lisa with her son, Jett, that really melted our hearts…

“When your son walks you down the aisle,” she wrote alongside the picture on Instagram. “Not sure if our guests were watching me or Jett – I know one person didn’t take his eyes off me…”

That one person is Mark. Mark opened up to The Weekly about his feelings on the day, and his words are nothing short of touching.

“Lisa is beautiful inside and out,” he said. “We share the same dreams and plans. She is my soul mate.”

“He makes my heart sing,” Lisa adds. “He cares about me, he listens to my stories, even if I tell them to him three times. He laughs at my jokes and fixes anything and everything. He massages me when I am tired and sore, and keeps me peaceful with his reassuring nature.”

It was a very moving ceremony for all those involved.

Not only that, but they both promise to remember that, “neither of us is perfect but we are perfect together”.
