Sharing a slew of pictures from the red carpet, including a very pregnant Morgan Gruell and Lisa’s partner Mark Tabone, Lisa took a moment to gush over her friend with a special message about following your passions.

After congratulating her friend, Lisa revealed in her caption that she and “BF” Janet were always in trouble in school, and teachers would put her down.

“Last night at the opening night of Frozen the Musical. In the second photo , my BF from grade 7, Janet was Head of Costuming for Australia, pulling off this feat all through lockdowns … I’m SO PROUD of her👍🥰

“In school we were the naughty girls, she would piggy back me around because I was too tired from training. The teachers used to say , “You’ll never amount to anything Janet Hine… ” and look what she does now!” revelled Lisa.

She continued reminiscing by revealing Janet’s contributions to the Asian Games Opening Ceremony in Doha before penning her impassioned message.

“One of many many shows she’s designed for. Even the Asian Games Opening Ceremony in Doha in 2006, and even before that.

“An incredible career for an amazing friend. So kids… don’t worry about what people say you can or can’t achieve – as long as you follow your passion and work hard, every single day, you can achieve anything. Fabulous night, show, performers, sets, lighting, live band, humour, even magic….,” she concluded.

On February 7, she used her platform to stand up to a “guy abusing staff at a café” with a plea for more kindness.

To begin her strong stance, Lisa shared an illustration of a woman wearing a pink mask that reads, “Please keep your distance if you are not good for my mental health,” written on it.

“Yesterday I witnessed for the first time a guy abusing staff at a café,” Lisa wrote in her caption.

She has been advocating for kindness on her Instagram.

“I had just left my table and was almost face to face with him, so I told him not to be so rude, settle down and be nice.

“Then he’s going at me. The owner is in tears, the staff feel threatened. Come on! Stop abusing people who are only doing their job. If you can’t sit inside a cafe, sit outside, if you can’t sit outside, get a takeaway and sit in the park.”

“People are overworked and overwhelmed as it is, just relax! Show some empathy. Remember how we tell our kids to use kind words? It is what it is at the moment, so work with it and stop being rude! F—in wake up man🤯🤬,” she continued.

“Think before you speak. People can be fragile. You don’t know how a poor choice of words can affect someone.”
