The former iron woman and her Elvis impersonator beau celebrated their exciting engagement from dusk til dawn in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Joined by their loved ones, Lisa and Mark opted to have a park barbecue and love was in the air.
The day was a family affair with Lisa’s daughter Jaimi organising flowers and her friend Hanna making the cake.
The groom-to-be dipped into his Elvis roots where he and his uncle entertained their 60 guests.
The 54-year-old admits she has never been happier and guests could tell.
“Lisa and Mark couldn’t stop smiling,” tells one. “It was obvious how much they adore each other.”
Earlier this year, Lisa met Mark’s family in Malta.
“Mark had a couple of shows in Canada and then we decided to go to Malta to see his family,” Lisa told the Daily Mail Australia.
Adding, “He had a school reunion over there as well. It was really nice to see everyone.”
Lisa chatted to Today Extra about her romantic proposal.
Recalling the romantic July 1st milestone, the Aussie sporting legend mused that it was “pretty hard keeping it a secret for so long.”
Describing it as surprise, she gushed, “He hired a yacht and had his friend play guitar. It was at sunset with roses and music playing.”
“He held my hand, told me how he felt, got down on one knee and popped the question,” she explained.
As for when they plan to have the big day, Lisa is keeping mum.
“To be honest we haven’t actually though too much about it, we know where and how, but don’t know when. But when might be dependent on where we go on a honeymoon!”
Lisa was previously married to former athlete Grant Kenny from 1984 to 2009.
Despite their split, Lisa is still firm friends with her ex.
The duo are parents to their grown-up kids – daughters Jaimi, 28, and Morgan, 26, and son Jett, 21 – while Grant is also dad to FiFi Box’s little girl, Trixie.
Mark, who was previously married for 25 years, and Lisa confirmed they were together last December.
