Lindy Klim opens up about her modern marriage to Michael

Lindy Klim has spent the last couple of weeks denying rumours that she has split up with husband, Michael Klim. Now the fashionista is opening up about her modern marriage and she makes it work.

Lindy and Michael are on the cusp of celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary later this month, and she is now chatting to The Sunday Telegraph about how she makes their marriage work.

The Balinese Princess lives in Bali for half of the year, meaning she sees her husband every other week and is away from her three young children, Stella, 9, Rocco, 6, and Frankie, 3, for long stints.

“We are very much a non-conventional family and some people really like it and think it is inspiring, but there are people out there that don’t like it,” she explained to the publication of their set-up.

Despite the distance, Lindy insists it works for them and she wouldn’t change a thing.

“I definitely feel fortunate that I have the life that I do. But I still have the same struggles as everyone else with the juggling and feeling guilty.

“Sometimes I think, maybe it would be good if I didn’t have to get on a plane all the time and I could have that white-picket-fence life, but I am not that conventional person… the life I live right now suits me.”

The couple have quashed recent rumours that they’ve separated, and the former model understands that to others their marriage may seem different.

But at the end of the day for the former Olympian and Lindy, their focus is very much on their three kids.

“Even though we live a different kind of life, we are just like every other family out there struggling through and trying to work out what’s best for our family and children. Our main priority is that our children are super happy… our focus is always on them.

“I am trying to show my children that it is important for us to always be working and striving to be the best you can. There is no such thing as normal, and you just have to let people live their lives.”
